UTMN welcomes first-year foreign students
In order to help students adjust to a new environment and prepare them for living and studying in a foreign country, the UTMN Department of International Student & Scholar Services holds orientation sessions. Students will be provided with valuable information about university life, assistance in doing the necessary paperwork, free Pocketbooks and the answers to all questions of interest.
From the moment of their arrival at the airport, foreign students are welcomed by the friendly team “UTMN Buddy” – specially trained volunteer students, whose aim is to help them adapt to new living conditions, give a tour of the university, its campus and the city in general, get settled in a dormitory, build individualized educational trajectories and sort out the schedule.
Students interested in finding out more about other cultures, practicing foreign languages and acquiring invaluable experience are free to join the team. It is necessary to fill out an application and come to the meeting that will take place on the 15th of September at 14:00, SAS UTMN (8 Marta Street 2, building 1, room 501).
There will also be a motivational training from Andrey Usachev, practicing psychologist, expert in time management and author of more than 100 trainings on how to increase effectiveness and productivity.
On the first of September, during the Day of Knowledge celebration, first-year foreign students were greeted by the Association of International Students (AIS). Soon they will immerse in both university and cultural life and go on a city tour of Tyumen.
